ion ramping

hello,
i,ve capped my ion out at 12bps in semi, but if i set it to ramping will it ramp up to 17bps or up to 12bps?
and at what bps does ramping kick in??

ramp kicks in at 8 on the stock board, if I'm right, if not it's 7, ity will ramp upto whatever the cap is set at, if you want to be legal use semi as the first 3 shots cannot be set to semi making the ramp on an ion illegal

o so i cant use my ion on ramping at the PA on sunday?
does that mean i cant use it on semi either?

semi is fine, you can use it, mine has been a bit more illegal than that at points, but if you get pulled your gun is illegal. If in doubt use semi, or bribe ref's with tea, I hear they like that.

and no ramping because the first 3 shots are semi??

no, semi 12bps, you can't use ramp mode because the new mill rules the first 3 shots have to be semi then ramp can kick in, the ION board will read the gap between 2 shots then ramp if the gap is under the 75(ish)ms for the ramp to activate, so you can actually ramp on the second shot on a strock ion board

If you really really want to use ramping, just ask the organisers of the PA. They might allow old style ramping at the moment as long as it is capped at 12bps. You never know. Just ask the question.

i,ve spoken to russ, and he said it's ok if your ramping kicks in at 7bps and ramp upto 15 for this event but must be 12bps for the next event.
so ramping on my ion is legal.
