Hi.

I have the stock Ion.

I've had it a few months now and had just the one mode on it. Semi Auto.

I fire it fast as I can walk the trigger pretty well. I knew at this point that my ION does not have the ramping mode.

But I went paintball the other day and a few people said that the stock ION did have ramping.

I didnt believe them because I have never found the ramping mode.

I have the standby mode which just flashes once. Then the semi auto mode that flashes twice then stops... ect.. ect..

But recently. After a change of the battery. I came across another mode. It was flashed really fast none stop.

I havnt tried this mode with any air yet. But is this ramping mode?

no what you are refering to is just feedback from the eyes.
single flash, eyes on but no ball in breech
double flash , eyes off
constant flashing, eyes on, ball in breech, ready to fire

...the stock ion board does have a rebound mode which is a simple form of ramping, you need to cahnge modes using the switch inside the grip frame, check the manual

What colour is it, and on an ion you cycle the modes. Have a look in the manual it explains it all. And are you in the programming mode?

And FYI yes both the UK and the US ion has ramping :)

these are accesed by pushing the on/off button? if so these are not modes as such, but whether the eyes are on or off.

to change modes there is a little tiny rectangular button at the bottom of the board - remove the grips to see it, it is on the left side if the gun is pointing away from you.

to change modes, push the little button, til you get to fast double blinking yellow light. push the on/off again and both the yellow and red lights should flas. then pull the trigger.

congrats you are now in ramping mode.....

Stock Ion has basic ramping with very limited configuration, I think it's called rebounce and you can select the mode from the board in the sme way you access the programming to set the dwell. Check the manual mate or the Ion 101 techroom sticky it's all in there.
