its the output thats important but the ion accepts just about anything, but you will go through the tank quite quickly with the rate of fire you can hit with an ion. depending on size of the tank of course.

Your bottle pressure is irrelevant mate, it's just how much air you can squeeze in.

What you need to know is the output pressure of your regulator, this controls the flow of air into your marker. These can be preset (cannot adjust, single fixed output pressure) and adjustable (can be set to a range of pressures)

Most presets come in 2 flavours:
Low Pressure (LP): Can be between 200 and 400
High Pressure (HP): Can be between 600 and 900

I had my Ion on an adjustable and it seemed to run best about 400. But that was just my personal experience :)

I know a lot of people run them on low pressure presets.
