Ion Maintenance - Correct Lube

Guys,

I'm just sorting out bits and bobs to maintain my 2nd hand ion for the first time, and am a bit confused about using the correct lube on the firing bolt.

The tech website which has a step by step method recomends the use of Dow/Corning 33 Shocker Lube, but can I find it anywhere?

Can someone either recomend where to buy it from, or a suitable alternative.

Oh, and if you got any other tips regarding my first dis-assembly and re-assembly of the Ion it would be much appreciated.

Your help is appreicated.

Check out the video links in your other thread - Thats all I needed for complete assembly/disassembly.

I use Vaseline to lube up the bolt O-Rings but that might be wrong :) I've heard Shocker Lube or Dye Slick Lube is recommended.

you can get the recommended molycote dow 33 light from any engineering suppliers at half the price of paintball shops, just do a google search for your local stockist.

I use shocker lube on my Ion and cant go wrong with it. The problem that I heard of Dye lube is that it can freeze and crack causing issues with leaks etc. Again I dont know how true this is but I have been told to stay away from it.
