Ion Guage Removal

Trying to remove a broken guage on my Ion but having no luck. Iv got a belt wrench and even that just slips. Are they always this much of a pain to remove?

I use an adjustable spanner, does the trick everytime.

i suppose thats ok since it dosn't matter if the old guages gets scratched does it.

if your worrying aabout scratching it you can place a cloth between the spanner and gauge, you might need more tension because of the cloth but if its broke then it doesnt matter

Use a socket and wrench...to take out and put back in.

Ideally use a fized spanner, as it cant get bigger, and then slip when u turn it, if not use a good adjustable spanner is best!

No...doing what I said to do is best, as that is teh best way to do it...assuming of course, that you are using one of the small gauges...in a hexagon type shape.
A socket cant get any bigger, or slip off, or anything.
