ION eye problem

right guys. changed my eyes over to a set of LUCKY led eyes in my spare ION. used the ion since and it shot like usual. a team mate borrowed the ion and smegged paint all inside.

Ive cleaned it all out and had the eyes out to clean it all up. The problem is that i can now only get 1 ball per second out of it. im running my fingers and its just not doint what it should be.

Turn the eyes off and it rips.

HELP!!!!

Putting you old eyes (or borrowing some) back in will be the easiest way to determin if the eyes are the route of the problem.

You could also check to see if the eye harness / plugs are ok i.e bent pins etc.

as i understand it if the harness or the eyes stop working the Ion defaults to eye's off.

Get rid of the lucky's and put the originals back in. or try them in your other ion

check the eye wires, make sure you haven't damaged them

might sound stupid, have you tried it with the eyes off, have you tried it with a new battery?

Lucky eyes are notorious, Boldy.

The spacing of the eyes on the board is too small, resulting in misalignment when put in the breech. The usual effect of this is that the eyes don't see each other, so the think there is a ball in the breech and allow you to fire all the time.

The one ball a second thing is unusual, but I bet ya when you replace them with stock eyes it'll be fine. I'm afraid I don't think there's a lot you're going to be able to do about it

I was thinking it was the eyes. Only thing that made this unusual was the gat shot fine when i first used it with the lucky eyes. Its only since they were smegged that they aren't right. ill change them back and give you guys a holla.

Make sure you fully clean teh eyes, between the terminals on each eye etc as a slight bit of paint etc will cause trouble...this happens on Eblade eyes too...teh back of teh eye gets ****ty and screws it up

like garf said it may be because its not dectecting the ball as the eyes are out of alignment?
