Hi I am looking for a first time gun. I was thinking of Ion but iv seen the bolt is a right pain to get to.

A friend just got a second hand Autococker for a bit more than a new Ion. What I wanted to know is, which would be the best to get.

A brand new Ion & upgrade it with new trigger and things

OR

A second hand eblade autococker which has more features and an easier to get to bolt.

I dont want to get a gun which will be too complicated or which wont perform well in the long run (I dont know if I will want to join a team in near future).

if i were you id get the ion, and get yourself a new designz roller trigger. used loads of different eblades n liked em but ive tryed my teammates ions and they really rip for the price and with a new designz trigger they rip that lil bit more. also you know your getting a brand new marker and can send it back if its buggered, whereas if you get an old eblade lots of things could go wrong n you'd be stuffed. In my opinion you should definately go for the ion. hope ive helped :D

yer thats a good point about being able to take it back.

Does anyone here find that they need to get access to their bolt (in Ion) alot?

Also how do peoples Ions fair when against the more expensive guns? Do you think your at a disadvantage.

Thanks for any help btw

my guys have had to take the bolt out once or twice since they got it cos they were shooting crappy rental paint through it, it actually isnt as much hassle as many people belive it to be. good point about the modes, ions have a semi and rebound mode a bit like the nerve or shocker which enables ramping:D a couple of the guys on my team have ions and dont feel outgunned by people using other more expensive guns. obviously there is a difference between using a £1000 dm5 and an ion but for the money the ion is a beast of a gun.
