How is it possible to get a standard Ion shooting 17 BPS?
According to http://www.zdspb.com/tech/ion/electronics_stockadvanced.html if my dwell was set to 48 blinks from the bottom, i would need to set my recharge to 0 blinks from the bottom to get 16.80 BPS.
I'm kinda guessing these settings aren't gonna work.
Even setting the dwell to 44 from the bottom, i would still need to set the recharge to 2 blinks from the bottom?

Hi mate

No need to touch the dwell.

Simply open your grip frame and turn the marker on.

Press the lower setting button till you reach 1 blink red (should be around two pushes)

Then hold the on/off button, and the LED should blink red yellow red yellow etc

Keep the button pressed until it goes single red.

Your marker will now be at 17bps.

:)

ONE Dwell Up (solid yellow)
TWO Dwell Down (solid red)
THREE Rate of Fire Down (single blink yellow) *recharge up*
FOUR Rate of Fire Up (single blink red) *recharge down*
FIVE Cycle Modes Up (double blink yellow)
SIX Cycle Modes Down (double blink red)

Where are your instructions from? Ion manual?

I wasn't looking at instructions.

But now looking at them it doesn't mention 'recharge' which is why i was confused.

Anyway, setting 'FOUR', as mentioned in my 1st instuctions will sort you out.

i think recharge refers to the gap between shots
if recharge is zero, then the gun can shoot at its maximum speed

recharge is a dumb name for rate of fire i beleive

i may be completely wrong its ages since i tinkered with an ion

The above is correct. Recharge is a false gap during which time the board delays the next shot. It's principal function is to create a bps cap. SP use the word Recharge but effectively it controls ROF. They are just like that, like using Rebound to mean Ramping.

Unless you wish to cap the ROF, set Recharge to minimum, ie; single blink red til it won't go down any more
