Invert mini V1 V2

guys im looking at getting a mini at the moment and everyone always asks if its a v1 or v2 etc, please can someone clarify what the difference is and the drawbacks of getting a v1 vs a v2

v1 is the first version ( the one in the brief case) and the v2 is the one in the card board box and more upped
