You'll tend to find very few guns require LP only mate. Most will take HPdoes the mini only fire on lpa or can it fire hpa??
As above, it will run on HP just fine. LP is recommended due to the lack of an OOPS. When you screw the bottle in, the asa will depress the bottle pin allowing air to escape, which causes a lot of friction on the bottle threads and makes it hard to screw in. The LP output will do this to a lesser extent because of the lower pressure output of the bottle, whereas the hp bottle will take a bit of effort to screw in, and will suffer from more wear on the threads (unless you have the new SP SIS reg which has steel threads, so will be more resistant to wear). Performance wise, however, they're both fine. Many markers perform better on HP (though nearly all will run fine on LP at 10.5bps), however, so consider that you might change markers before you change bottles.

Yeah, basically an OOPS allows you to screw in the bottle without that air resistance (the pin that depresses the bottle pin unscrews outwards so you can screw the bottle in without letting the air out and causing that friction, then when the bottle is screwed in you screw the pin in to let air into the marker). Mini's don't have one, and because of the way the air is fed through the grips, you can't buy an OOPS for them (although the guy in Invert's vid tried to make one). It's not really a huge issue tbh, just means if you get HP it'll be harder to screw in and will wear the threads a bit faster, but you'll be able to use a HP bottle on any other marker you might buy (and with a 5 year retest, you'll almost certainly buy a different marker in that time).
There in the test stage looking to produce and sell them in the future by the looks of it.
I know what you mean about the wear, just had a look at the thread of my mini asa and its started to wear.
In the short term def get a Smart Parts on/off (My next paintball purchase when I've got some spare cash!)
