Invert halo II

Does anyone know if the invert halo II will work with 6aa's?
The supplied battery harness is only 4aa's, i dont want to run my bone pack which puts out 9v if the board or motor will only take 6v.

The invert board does say B2 but i have heard its a different version to the halo b2?

the B2 board uses 4AA's only

bought 2 reloader B's brand new a couple of years ago and both had fried motors, sent them to national (now KEE) and they were returned with B2 boards and a big notice saying not to use the 6 cell pack
