No No No, you've got it all wrong. Here's what'cha'gotta do:

1.Get a credit card with as high a limit as possible (bonus points for 2 or more)

2. Go on a buying spree. Buy every thing you ever might have thougt about possibly maybe concidering buying.

3. Make minumium payments for the rest of your life.

4. Move to another country and change your name to paco and sell tacos to tourists. Visa will never know what happened to "Micah" ...

Maybe I shouldn't be sharing my plans for the future ...

the reason that 0% APR is placed on products is to make them sell. normally if u have a "dog" of a product or a slow moving item 0% is the way to shift it cos all the customers think "WOW - no interest" and hey presto, like flies to jam they buy a complete peice of **** or a vastly overpriced product. 0% is not a good way to buy a product. the subsidy involved in the deal is simply added to the sticker price of the item
And as far as paintball kit goes as soon as something new and shiny comes out we all rush out and buy it so there is no incentive for manufacturers to susidise their product.

you are missing my point. the profit margins in paintball kit are huge. SP/Planet etc make more selling a 1000 marker than i do selling a 30,000 car.

what i was trying to say is that as we all go out and pay the prices they ask there is no need for them to offer 0%.

I have often asked this question, as a finance package would enable me to buy whatever marker I like. I mailed Ledz at planet about it and he said that he has looked into it in the past but the APR % they could offer would be stupid, it would work out better for you to get a credit card and wack it all on that!

The main reason that you do not see stores and companies rushing out to give "interest free pay over a 12 month period notes" are because most of the store owners are paintball players themselves.....they know the liability is too great to do it. I mean really how often have you gone thru your piggy bank looking for change so that you could play another tournament? (or is my team the only one that has paid a tourney entry fee with loose change?....no really )
Would you trust one of your fellow ballers with a thousand plus dollar piece of kit and then give them a year to pay? Not that i am saying that we are untrustworthy when it comes to money not at all, but Paintball is a drug....i have skipped car payments so that i could go halfway across the country just to play.... :(

i think i need counseling....but no that would cost money....probably could buy another case if i didn't get any......... and i could pay the air fee if i don't eat....
