Thank you to everyone who not only turned up and made this event happen at last, but also helped out and played this tournament with a brilliant attitude and some great sportsmanship!

Well done to Durham, Newcastle, Portsmouth, Salford, Teesside and York!! Hopefully we've started something that will get bigger and longer (oops not South Park again), bigger and better each year as more Uni's get to hear about it:)

Thank you also to Phil Wynn and the rest of the Killer Clowns, Boyley's gang, Jase from Team Illusion, Gary from 6E and Steph from the Chicks for marshalling (and helping out setting up!).

Specifically thank you to Teesside, Portsmouth and Durham for turning up on Friday and helping out in the cold and dark!

Final thank yous to Steve Bull and Trevor and Tim from H-Pac for making it up on Saturday, John, Gillian, Craig and Katey from JAG for the filming, Ian for the photos and Tony, Leanne, Andy, Mikey and Phil from 6E for helping us out with the setting up.

Congratulations to Salford on winning the event (and thank you for donating the free entry), to Portsmouth for second place (and thank you travelling all that way!!), York for third (well done guys), Durham (welcome back Dan Connock!), Teesside and Newcastle (well done you two on your first tournament).

Cheers guys:) See you next year!

Gillie, it is us who should be thanking you, from all of Teesside Thanks. For doing so much work and more than likely for very little. Just to help us poor students out. Roll on next year!!
Gillie Thanks again, it was great and pass the thanks to Hatts too.

Thanks

Right, the proper thanks from Portsmouth Uni:

Starting with the obvious, Gillie and Hatts (and the rest of the 6E crew) for a top quality site - what a nice change to not have to wear goggles outside the netting, Mmmm, high netting.

Bully for supporting the inter-uni, and Salford for donating their free entry down to us, it meant that we were able to afford a hotel on Sunday night, and not have to camp in the pouring rain - cheers Salford (we'll have ya next time ;) )

Powerball for the top quality RPS Advantage, which coped flawlessly in the sub zero conditions.

The Castle for chucking us out of the bar at about 11:40 (For what it's worth, Teeside left at about 9:15, and DUPS left at about 8:30 - what would you choose, a cold-ass tent, or a warm bar, Hmmmmm)

Obviously the marshalls on Sunday, for giving up their time (I tried to thank most of you on the day, but more than likely missed a couple), and for not being harsh, explaining what was going on, and generally being top.

Oh, and one last quick "thanks" to who-ever left a whole load of empty RPS Euro-Flite boxes and one empty Chronic box in our camping area on Sunday - could that be why some of the Zap being shot on Sunday looked remarkably yellow and euroflite like? ;)

In Teesside's Defense

We had to be up at 6 am ( yes the time does exist) and do you have any idea how scary that time is without Steph (please don't hurt me steph) shouting at you at that time is??
Any way next time when we have some heat we'll sit and have a drink or two.

Yeah, that made me laugh listening to you lot being woken up :)

Have a guess why Pompey moved outside the big marquee for Saturday night :D

Not only that, the ground proved to be an excellent beer chiller once we returned from the bar

Oh yeah, and I had to be up at 7 to defrost our mini-bus so I could go collect the rest of the paint from my folks house, so getting up early aint an excuse, although at least you beat DUPS in the bar.... :D

next time we'll show you all how to drink! even though you have size on your side! all 6 foot 5 of you.

Is there a height requirement to get into your team? you are all massive compared to the rest of us, they grow you tall down there! look as us poor people up here, Teessides tallest is Graham, and his hair counts for some of that, then the smallest was Kathryn ( little blonde one).

I aint 6 foot 5, I'm only 6 4 and a half.

And it can't be anything down here in Pompey, as I was born and bred in Bishop, hence me being able to withstand the (apparently) minus 11.5 degrees C on Saturday night.

Although that may have been something to do with the air-mattress, the three layers, the wooly hat, the thick jacket, and the two rugs over the two sleeping bags, one inside the other :D
