Indoor Field Question.

I have played one that was a mix. Ground floor was concrete, upstairs was metal plating. Hardly any cleaning was done, so the entire site was slick with paint.
Another one has pavement slabs, and the guys that run it hit the field with brooms after every game, so it's quite nice to play. Sliding is not recommended though......

Back in the day...

the old Top Gun Hospital site had lino with saw dust on the floor...

Slip, slide, gotta glide (literally):D

Best site i have ever played... Four storey hospital with small amount of woods and a field with 3foot high grass - crawlers paradise!

indoor sites

played a few in the past.

one i played at had a think layer of sand, bit heavy to run on, but nice and soft for sliding on. bit smelly cos all the old paint just got covered in sand and was rotting. not like outdoors where the rain washes it away.

another was just painted concrete with nothing on it. a bit slippy on the break out but it did get cleaned 3-4 times a day so it was not too bad.

Steve shepherd place in bristol is nice, a smooth floor but with sawdust on top of it. gets a bit slippy where the sawdust covering is thin, especially in the basecamp and behind bunkers. went on my ass a few times at that one.

i played on the astro turf at campaign, nice! great for long runs and cool for mega slides, but you do need some good knee and shin pads cos it will wear through your pants else (as i found out first game) and it burns you skin! bit expensive i'd of thought for an indoor paintball site.

the euro indoor is a sandy soil, nice and soft but great for running on. looking forward to that one this weekend.

Sand

As said before the surface it sond kinda mushy sand, you know the kind down on the beach :)

Cracking surface, although, sliding is a pain as your knees stick and you go head first into your bunker SMACK!!!

See you all Friday night.....

Slip sliiiding away....

...I played one recently that was just wood with a seriously oily paint covering, I slammed on my ass baaaaad off the break. Lesson? Don't wear astroturf shoes where there aint no soft ground.

Ouch. :(
