Don't bother with a CP as it isn't that much better than stock, its only realy more ergonomic and easier to adjust.
Edit, the stock is pretty good and unless your going to stick with the ION or a while theres no point in upgrading.

the IONs seem to work fine. Edd uses one like a doctor uses a scalpel
u on Aberdeen's uni team, im on Teeside's. i think a reg is my next up, got a the sillys like 16" barrel, qev, qloc, micromax, fibre wrap, firebolt. so reg it is...... mmm google image....

Yeah i'm on the Aberdeen team. Second hand ego reg would be your best bet mate, cheap and damn good.
You got a trigger on the ION as that may help you out?

The ion has an awesome reg standard mate, I may be mistaken but I believe they are soo good that sp use ion reg internals/operation in thier 07 shockers.
Try lubing and sweet spotting your reg, adjust your dwell and input pressure respectively to achieve the fps you want at higher or lower pressures and you will probably get much better results.

thats right,think there may be a slight change but basically the same inside.i have a dye hyper 2 reg on mine more for looks than anything really,gives better fps consistency but not loads,just need to give the sp reg a good strip down and clean once in a while to keep it sweet.
