Impy Trigger Q

Ok, so i bought an impy off Kaish last week.
As is the common thing to do, i immediatly started messing with it.
Mainly "tweeking" the trigger.

Thing is, there doesnt appear to be any kind of spring behind the trigger.
It seems to move forward again purely by gravity. and as such isnt the snappiest of triggers.

Am i wrong in this assumption?

Where should i be finding a spring, or magnets or whatever?
I "think" its got a new trigger on it, looks like a Blade trigger, ill have to confirm that with Kaish though.

It also seems to freeze up the front of the gun a little too quickly for my liking.
Is this likely due to some kind of leak, or just that CO2 is bad and evil? (i have to run CO2 because i cant afford a dive tank, and the site i play at only has CO2)

There is normally a spring, but some people remove it and rely on the microswitch itself to return the trigger. The spring from a retractable ballpoint, cut down to size, makes an ideal replacement

EDIT: Just thought of this: are you sure it's not a magnetic trigger? Most of the aftermarket magno triggers can be adjusted with a grub screw that tweaks the magnet position.

Usual rules for CO2 apply - a correctly fitted anti-siphon is mandatory, and don't completely fill the bottle (16oz in a 20oz bottle should still last a while.) Reducing the dwell (and increasing the reg pressure) ought to help prevent icing up as it will reduce gas volume. The same goes for replacement internals that improve efficiency (valve mainly.)

Dude, i knew there was a reason i loved ya :p

Ok, well ive PMed the previous owner, and once i know what the trigger is, ill know if its magnetic or not.
Im pretty sure he said it wasnt tho.
and judgin by the amount of force that seems to be "returning" the trigger, id say its only being pushed by the microswitch.

So, its gonna be another days worth of tinkering for me, with regards to the dwell / pressure....

Oh well, my mum always did say, stick to wat im good at.

Why in God's name are you still playing paintball then!

If you want, I could probably sell you my eclipse magno frame. As you know its graphite fade but I don't need it cos I have the V3 I-Frame on it now. Also, its a taller frame so grips actually fit on it without any hang-over.

i have confirmed that its a Eclipse Blade trigger, and "should" have a spring.

Is this one of the vertical mounted springs in this frame?
because there is a threaded hole behind the trigger (running from the top of the frame down), thats empty.

There's a screw in there somewhere, just quite far up because I set the pull really short, you're probably using too large/too small an allan key and it gives the impression there's no screw up there.
EDIT: Sorry, I missed you saying "behind the trigger".

As for the icing up - I'm afraid that's just the c02, might be because the dwell is too high and the valve is open for too long thus letting lots of freezing c02 through.

I hope you're not disappointed, it worked really well for me for the whole time I had it.

P.S I'ms STILL waiting on those screws to come through from SP for you
