put this one in the tactics part, ill try again:eek:

ive got an impulse running on a maxflow front reg and co2. im looking on getting a vodoo front grip and an angel air 4500psi. i've been told that i can run an angel air without a front reg and that angel air and maxflow's are the only ones on the market that can be used without double regulating. is this true?

No... Angel Airs require you to have a double Reg, and Max Flo 4500psi needs to be the Low Pressure (LP) version.

The reason being is the PRV (Pressure Release Valve) like the standard Co2 Max Flo. The Impy should not be taken over 200psi as this could/will ruin the solenoid.

So, get a Max Flo 4500psi Low Pressure (0-300psi) input. This means its exactly like the stock Co2 except running fixed air tank and able to cope with the new higher Air pressures.

Angel Air works around 0-650psi??? I have never taken mine on the Ir3 above 500psi. So you will need a Vertical Co2 Max Flo in order to to drop the input pressure from 500-600psi to the safer 180-190psi of the Impulse. :D

It is best to double Reg the Angel Air.

Good Luck

The main problem with the AIR at low pressure is that the digital readout just reads "Lo-P" until it gets to something like 240psi. Apparently it works though, but I'm not sure I'd trust it to be as consistent as the Max Flo at that output pressure.

The other reg off the top of my head that can single-reg down to <200psi is the 2003 Conquest (but not the older models), but they're proving a bugger to get hold of at the moment.

Yep... just better if you have a double setup though, most people who run WDP-AIR do double reg it for a reason.

It is possible yes, mine must be a New Air then, didn't the older ones use to come out of Lo-P at a lot higher PSI than that?

Also, AIR2 is coming out soon, so might be grabbin one of those if its any better :D.
