Impulse velocity probs

mates got a stock impulse with the horizontal max flo that sits under the grip frame.
max flo is reading around 180-200psi.
paintball seem to just roll out the end of the barell in a upwards direction before falling about 2metres infront of him.

battery been checked.
paint to barell match is fine.
did give it a clean and relube which did seem to help.


being a temprimental bugger as sometimes it shoot fines and others the paints just not going anywhere.

anyone got any ideas?

any help much appreciated. cheers.

When you lubed it where and what did you clean and lube?

i dont know jack bout impulses bt that happened to my angel 2 weeks ago my dwell was out could be reason

stan matey, i cleaned and lubed the bolt up.

Try cleaning the piston first and make sure that there's no lube on the hammer.

If that doesn't work try cleaning the valve.

If that doesn't work try cleaning the Max Flo (but this doesn't sound the problem).

If all that doesn't work then try cleaning the solenoid. But check all the others first and if it comes to this be gentle with it.



I take it he doesn't have an inline reg? He's just using the Max Flo?

i had this problem a while ago, its the dwell setting, its set way to low, have a play with it and should start shooting fine

cant be the dwell because it will shoot fine and then not.
no he hasnt got a inline reg, just the max flo.

yeah my angel dwell was set way to low it was at 8ms and was meant to be 14ms, a few balls would trickle out then the rest would start gradeully gettin more powerfull so it sounds like you having the trouble i had so check the dwell!

not its not just one or two balls.
literally if i turn the gun on and gas it up it will shoot perfect. if i do the same another time it just wont.

it could possibly be the dwell but doubt it very much as when i put my air through it it works every time as soon as he put co2 on it its abit iffy.

will check it out and let you all know.
