Impulse regulation

Hey all, I'm gonna be acquiring an impulse soon, I have a couple of questions. Is the standard shocktech impulse internally regulated? I should know this but I don't. And if it isn't, does it need to be? Shocktech says it'll run good on air and co2, so it must have some sort of open area to let the co2 expand and the air to regulate itself somewhat. I've seen many with max flow reggies, is this the best option? I know there are countless threads and sites about this marker, but I'd like to hear what experience says about this. Also will a 12 volt keep up with it, or do I need an electronic hopper?

Thanks all
