Let me take our team as an example (here we go):

On our team we have 3 impulses, various cockers (some eblades) and a couple of angels. Of these:

- The cocker owners spend about half an hour at the beginning of the day tracing leaks, sort out velocity problems, tweaking the timing;

- The eblade owners do all of the above, plus another half an hour replacing the battery, adjusting the trigger, trying to fix the vision, etc.;

- The angel owners don't need to do any of this becuase they already blew up the solenoid and every internal seal on the way to the site, in the back seat of the car;

- The impulse owners get their gun out, wipe it down and gas it up.

I have to go now, I've got a lot of running to do, then I'll be lieing low until this blows over ;)

And on our Team we have E-Blades, Cockers, Angels, X-mags and a couple of Impulses

Only the people who fiddle with their Markers have problems;)

It doesn't matter what you shoot - just don't be tempted to muck around unless you REALLY know what you're doing, and even then don't!

Seriously though, Impulses, being a quite simple design, are generally very reliable. If there is a weak point in the reliability, it's the max flo regulator, which is the cause of a lot of the problems people seem to have (I wouldn't know, I don't use one on mine :D ), and the ribbon cable to the vision eye, which is notoriously fragile (but like Pinki says, don't fiddle and it won't break.) Maintenance is usually a 15-minute job of cleaning the internals and putting fresh grease on them; if you don't do this regularly, though, you are asking for trouble.

Now my marker went down on Sunday but that was due to the solenoid gunking up with crap... Nowt to do wit me.

I hardly touched my impy after i bought it...

Well ok, i did add the Twister Low rise...

And the I frame...

and the cricket board...

and the new vision eye and board that came with the Cricket.

And i did get the board upped to 25bps...

But apart from that i haven't fiddled with my marker.:mad: Glen didn't fiddle with his either. However, the only two impys on the team did go down in the same game on Sunday...:confused: Both were working again 15mins later though! Go figure.

If you can get a cheap Impy go for it... Stick an I frame on it and the super fast package from SP Europe and you'll find yourself laughing insanely as you sit at home flicking your trigger!:D
