Rich, you big flash air system tart! :)

The Impy input pressure is controlled by your front reg, and you want to set the 'geddon higher that what the front reg is, to prevent drop-off under rapid fire.

I heard somewhere that you should put the first reg around 400 psi higher than the second, which should leave you running the 'geddon at around 550-ish psi.

Try it there for now, that'll work, and if you feel like monkeying around with it at the next tourney - feel free (just keep away from me - I'm scared of air) ;)

CO2 Rocks :D

there is nothing wrong with being a big flash air system tart!!! if it's shiney and nice then i want it! (anyway who's a big flash(no pun intended!) racegrip tart?):D
gonna bring along the CO2 bottom line to temple just in case it all gets too much for me and the 'ol 12oz starts calling my name!
see ya in a week mate!

p.s. is alex still known as BG or has he de-gayed his cocker?

elrikos: Yes, Alex is still known as BG ;)

smart: The input pressure to the impy at around those figures, yes. I perhaps could have made myself a little clearer first time round. Maybe it's just hocus pocus that I've heard on the grapevine, but there was something about ensuring that the second (LP) reg didn't starve under rapid fire by putting the primary (HP) reg a bit higher - some rubbish about recharge times being quicker from a higher pressure.

Of course, some top air-smith is bound to jump in here and call me a muppet :D

Probably. ;)

INLET PRESSURE ON IMPULSE

hi rich it,s Paul from Warped

The pressure should be between 170 psi and 190 psi never take the pressure over 200 psi this will damage the solenoid in the marker ,Also the velocity is set by this pressure and the dwell
setting at the rigth hand side of the marker ok

Dudes Dudes Dudes........

he has an amageddon!, i take it you have an inline max flow aswell. the try setting the geddon to about 250 psi, then use your front reg maxy to regulate the pressure from the geddon, set it at about 175, if you have a delrin bolt or a VFF bring it down to 150, then adjust the dwell appropriatlely.

If you are using your geddon with your front max-flow then you have just wasted 375 odd quid........ all you need is the vert maxy and a bottom line with a drop and you have a sweet setup!

Before our Rich gets over confused by many replies (he's a bit slow :p )

What he had was - CO2 --> Front Vert Max-Flo (3000psi rated) --> Impy

He got himself a 2nd hand geddon, he now has

Air bottle --> geddon --> Front Vert Max-Flo --> Impy

As the vert max flo is only a 3k psi jobby, and he wanted 4k5 psi, he went for the geddon (correct me if I'm wrong Rich).

What I personally reckon for pressures goes a little something like this (output pressures shown):

Air bottle --> geddon --> Vert Max-flo --> impy
4k5 psi --> 400 psi --> 170ish* psi --> impy

* whatever it is currently set at.

And on that note, if anybody ever sees me filling an air bottle, it's probably best to run. :D

yes flash you were right (as usual :D ).
after having a long conversation with ledz a while ago about running the impy on air i have a few questions.
he told me that plugging a 3000psi bottle into the vert max flow would result in a very loud and painful explosion. apprently the max flow used on the impulse is not the same as a standard vert max flow (apprently the pistons are different sizes or something).
he told me that the only way to run air on an impulse was to double reg it, hence me saving my student cash and buying an armageddon.
any suggestions appreciated cos i've had a few conflicting opinions on this one :D (though as flash said i can be a bit slow
cheersfor the help so far
rich (not the prez rich, the other, more irritating one):)
