Yesterday my Impy was running fine until one game when it stopped firing. When i pull the trigger i can here a "pft" as if the solenoid is nearly working but not enough power is going to it to make it work. I took the grip frame off and pressed the white button... It made the same pft noise as i first pressed it and then fired as i pressed it down further.

If i switch it off and leave it for a while i can then fire a few shots before it goes back to not firing. I have tried two new batteries in it (in case one of them was a dud) but this didn't fix the problem.

Also, leaking down the barrel (valve shaft O ring looks ok) what else should i check?

Also, ( ;) ) any suggestions on where i can get a lighter spring for my I-Frame? Tried a mates' I-Frame yesterday which was sweet. Pen springs are too wide.

Thanks.

mite sound stupid but have u tried a new battery for the impy?... also as for leaking down the baRREL , does it do it when you are shooting? or just on its own? try relubing the orings on the ram, clean any lube off of the face of the hammer, and the valve stem, regrease the orings on the valve housing, and try again.

also for a lighter spring, try a cheap bero spring, about 4-5mm wide should fit in the iframe... then trim it and stretch it to get the desired lightness.

Didn't he say he'd tryed two new batteries? :D

It's just a thought (bearing in mind i know NOTHING about impulses) but is the bolt going fully back? This would mean that you get the "pft" noise without fireing. Just a thought... happened once with an AMG, all i had to do was put the bolt back and all was fine (i know they work differently)
