What kind of gas efficiency do Impulses usually get? I have been told not to run HPA on one, since "you only get about a hopper and 4 guppies from a 68/3000" Is this accurate? I'm thinking about a 68/4500 MaxFlo, how many shots will I probably get from that? I don't want to run CO2, but if the efficiency is that bad, I might have to.

Thanks,
Albino

Dunno who told you all that but if that's what you think you'll get out of an 68/3000 air system transferring down to the oprating psi you're sure as hell going to get a lot less shots out of 20 oz CO2 tank. If the impy you're on about is that inefficient on air, you've gotta be looking at a hopper and a bit out of CO2!

Planet quote "1500 Shots From 1.1 litre (68 cu in) 4500 psi Tank (Armageddon)" for their Eclipse Impulse, someone here had some math on conversions try a site search.

Or see if you can ask Hotpoint - if you can drag him away from physics, history or anything else off topic that is

:D ;) :p

I believe I have observed it on occasion.

TBH it's hardly worth mentioning though it happens so infrequently:D

I´ve read in pbnation the following.

HPA 3000 psi minimum shots per fill 10*X cu

68 cu x 10 = 680 shots

HPA 4500 psi minimum shots per fill 15*X cu

68 cu x 15 = 1020 shots

But there are some peolpe that make a´lot more shots per fill.
As i´ve wrote this is minimum shots per fill, in standart dwell and max flow setting. And a stock Impulse.

Hope this helped
Cheers

1300, maybe 1350 from my doctored Eclipse Impulse & 68ci 4.5K bottle. As long as you have your dwell set correctly it's not too bad :)

Thanks, guys. I guess I will get the Max-Flo. BTW, why would CO2 be less efficient than air? I thought that you could get a lot more shots out of an equally sized tank with CO2. Ex: More shots out of a 68ci tank filled with CO2 than one filled with air.

Generally speaking you will get more shots from co2 then air but it does depend on weather conditions and the way the gun is set up, i've recently added an lpr which will increase efficency but at the end of the day both gasses will last you a couple of games at least.

Now Hallon there

Quayler and Binz both run Imps on CO2 and both get over 1000 balls per fill, Quayler gets (from last run out) over 1100, so no need to go and buy expensive AIR systems.

Alas I have a Shocker, and can only get 600-700 max out of a fill on CO2.
