I love my Empire Sniper, I really do. Lately I've been coveting something a bit sexier. Enter: CCM's J12.

I know there's no chance of me getting one short term (the waiting list runs to about 450 people just now and they've only made 50 so far - a single batch in the last year). It'll take them time to ramp up production, so I've got time to save :)

Has anybody had any dealings with CCM directly? What about importing new markers, has anyone had any issues? If it's not too much trouble to ask, how much did you end up paying in total including the import duty?

Yes... I got a CCM marker from them last year. I went for the T2

No issues importing and I cant remember what I paid for the import duties specifically. I think it was around £800 all in

As above contact ccm for info on having one sent to the uk. On their side it's be our has price and the postage.

A ccm is unlikely to fall foul of the vcra so no real problem with importing.

Import duty/vat will be the same as standard vat, so 20% extra on the £ valuation and depending on the uk carrier that it passes through up to £20 as a fee for them to handle the customs charge.
Just be aware that the valuation could be a simple $ to £ conversion of the invoice price or a deemed valuation of what it would cost in the uk

£ Overall cost =
($ purchase price + $ international postage) x conversion rate + ($ purchase price x customs conversion rate x 0.2 + £20

I've imported brand new markers from the USA. Everything was fine just be prepared for the import tax and associated costs when the item arrives. They took the insured value of my package, changed the dollars to pounds and charged me based on that

I think there is a dealer in France, that way you wouldn't get hit for import duty but I don't know if the starting cost would be higher. If you are prepared to go secondhand search the pump section of the for sale on mcarterbrown.com - they come up fairly often.

Just found a dealer in france: http://www.shootashop.com/marqueurs/pompe/ccm.html - my french isn't good enough to tell if they are in stock or not but @DR MANHATTAN should eb able to help with that.

More than happy to pay import duty (not made of money, but it's a necessary evil in doing business outside of the EU. Thanks everyone for the replies, definitely in line with what I was expecting.

@tommikka would be gutted if a pink or green or purple marker was picked up as a firearm. Would be slightly hilarious though!

@Cannon Fodder will give it a go. They're unlikely to have the J12 at the moment. At this stage, based on the release date and the number actually manufactured so far, people are estimating dates in 2022, albeit jokingly. Hopefully they'll ramp up production once they're confident in making the actual parts.

Cheers guys. Been lurking in this forum quite a bit. Glad to see there's a healthy pump community in the UK and beyond :)
