I know not many people over here use DOT bottles... but I have seen a few people filling from dive tanks and stuff at events so know there are some kicking about...

In summary bottle made by Global Composites international (GCI) have been found to be manufactured incorrectly and do not adhere to the DOT-E standard 12695 they were meant to be tested to. Basically the US govt' have deemed then as unsafe.
In summary... if you have a GCI DOT tank with 12695 on it they should be disposed of accordingly
