go with the jackhammer, it is much better. Easyer to adjust to fit. Also it is made by smartparts, the makers of the Imp. So just think about it, it obviously is going to be better and more user friendly

My teammate has one of those Evil Respirator things, which looks just like the Eclipse front cap, except with an extra "thingy" that sticks out the side and into the hole where the tapeworm normally goes. It doesn't need any extra drilling, and u don't need the FFV... and there's less sticking out the front to get shot at :D

If only they did them in silver... and they looked more pointy like the Voodoo bullet-caps :D:D:D

OK, you guys are confused (except you, QP :) )

The ND LPR is a Jackhammer, integrated with a front cap for your impy in an aesthetically pleasing way.

The SP LPR is not a Jackhammer, the JH is made by ANS and the SP one is made by SP (well duh.)

The Jackhammer is certainly a faultless performer, as is the Palmer Microrock. The SP LPR has the advantage of being a good deal smaller than either of these, and from seeing Phil Webb's at the M25 it certainly seems to do the job.

The Evil Respirator is an integrated LPR with no hosing to get shot, but it does reduce the air volume behind the valve so is best used in combination with an Evil Valve, and run at a higher valve pressure than normal for an Impy, but still with a low LPR pressure driving the bolt.

the hyper works web site states that the SP kit does include a jackhammer

or is this kit different from the one that is supplied in the uk?
Ah, I see. No, the LPR shown there is just a Jackhammer attached via a normal NPT thread to a front cap. The LPR is the same as the ND LPR, but as you can see the ND one is fitted more nicely. Not sure why they labelled it as "SP", except possibly because it was the setup used on Strange Impulses.

The SP LPR is one of their own manufacture, which is very short, with a large thumbscrew on the end to adjust the pressure. I don't know if they're available to buy yet, though.

When you buy the jackhammer LPR all you get is the reg nothing else to attach it to the marker so you need to buy a kit to do do this, If you get one from smartparts it is a SP LPR kit, now obviously you wouldnt buy the kit unless you plan on getting a LPR so SP LPR kit is also supplied with an ANS Jackhammer reg.
SP do not make the jackhammer ANS do. SP just make the kit to attach the LPR to the marker

The SP LPR kit includes A new threaded front cap to install the LPR onto, a new valve srping, The Nipple to attach the hose from the LPR to, and of course the LPR.

You also need to get some cocker hose to connect the LPR to the nipple.

Once the lpr has been fitted you should increase the input preassure up to 200 - 230 psi then adjust the FPS with the LPR,

200 - 230 psi is the valvue preassure NOT the operating (solonoid) preassure, the solonoid preassure will be down around 110 psi or so. Sometimes even less.

To get a lower operating preassure you can increase the valve preassure, However if you go above about 230 psi you will need to remove the PRV. or put it onto the back of the marker.
