IAO tops $220,000 in Prizes and Giveaways!
Pittsburgh, PA. – The Draxxus IAO and Paintball Festival presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods is attracting a steady stream of sponsors for the 2004 event scheduled for July 21-25th. Aisle signage as well as in-store handouts can be seen in over 100 of the DSG locations on the east coast! Players and sponsors are signing up rapidly as the event takes shape for next month. And with Sports Illustrated on location, everyone is excited including over 50 exhibiters already registered.
American Paintball Supply will be setting up an awesome airfield as well as providing ref jerseys in conjunction with Severe Paintball. Not to be left out, the scenario players will also see a surplus of Meteor Shower Grenades for prizes and sale.
Brimstone will be setting up a flagship field as well as AKALMP, WGP, EZ Bunker, Tippmann and JT and the NPPL. A total of 9 fields will be in operation. Tippmann will also be sponsoring a Tech class along with WGP, NPS and Viewloader.
The Smokin’ 3-player event has moved to a Thursday, Friday time slot with lotsa prizes including entries to the infamous Ultimate Madness in April. XO Industries has come on board to co-sponsor the Players Party and offer up free entries to the world renown SKYBALL.
Upon registering, every player whether they’re in the tournament or scenario game gets a goodie bag filled with coupons and giveaways valued at over $50. This year players will be treated to a musical CD compliments of Gameface as well as a Gear Bag Tag compliments of Kingman! Air America will supply lanyards for every player to hook their player pass and WGP will be making sure every competitor is treated to a barrel sock.
A new major sponsor and fabulous energy drink coming on board is BAWLS. Every player will be treated to an ice cold refreshing can of this drink at registration. And winners in every division will be treated to a years supply! It’s the perfect fit for weary paintball players!
Brass Eagle, JT , Viewloader and WGP will be sponsoring the “ People Mover” a slow moving shuttle that allows attendees to hop on anywhere on location to get a scenic tour of the event! Tech classes are being held throughout the week with both Autococker and Viewloader instruction scheduled. Players can sign up on location.
New-comers to the Paintball media world, "DeadBox Media" will be on-site filming the 2004 IAO - DVD, as well as coverage for DeadBox Magazine. Be sure to swing by their booth to pick up a complimentary issue of DeadBox Magazine, stickers, and see the official IAO T-Shirts for sale!
