I will not lie, steal, or cheat...

All this talk about wipin and cheaters being exposed, etc. has made me think about my life and my morals. I go to a military academy and our honor code is this: "I will not lie, steal or cheat, nor tolerate among us anyone who does." People get kicked out of my school for breaking this code. It pretty much goes into every aspect of my life. Even paintball. My team (we are all cadets) make a conscience effort before we play to remind each other it is not worth trying to cheat. It ruins our chances in the tournament, and it ruins our team. How can we trust our own teammate to give us cover fire when we think they can get a 2 for 1 against us. It's all about pride in your sport, pride in your team, and most importantly: pride in yourself.

Robbo, I am inspired. I am going to write another article and have it to you by Thursday ;)

I think "The Russian Legion" set a sterling example of how play should be. (this is just my humble opinion).

Cheating takes extra effort, attention, and conscious decision. Take the slacker's approach and be too lazy to be sneaky. Effort is best placed in playing harder--keeping it clean is easy to do if ya just don't think too much about it, really. Such a large percentage of the time hits are obvious and/or painful enough to where cheating just isn't an intelligent option: you either can't see, have little chance of getting away with it, can't stand the taste in your mouth, or don't want more nasty little stings that can be easily doled out 10-20 at a time if you don't signal to stop the pain. Hopper shots are just too easily heard. Even if you're on the opposite side of the field, anyone that has played a while knows what one sounds like and a ref that's actually paying attention at all, and sometimes when not, will hear it and you're pulled.
