And I was wondering Other than 1 or 2 takedowns going on at once, what set plays could one do? Plus takes downs are very risky, I know that's why it would take +/-6 months to be affective ... yada yada yada ... and what happens if 2 equally well trained teams go at it working their set plays? Ahh so many possibilities so few games ...

Oh this was from issue #153 ...

What i see as set plays could be alot of what is done already. ie. support movement, distractions etc, but done blind.

For example player A on the left tape can't see player b on the right. But when a call goes out knows that they are doing X and can use the opportunity to move up the field.

When doing a set play or call make sure your whole team knows and is going to do it with you.

One game we set Powerball as a call to open up a paintstorm at certain bunkers and all move and wipe out the opposition.

Great idea, IF I had not heard the call seen one guy rock out and fire thought everyone was doing it walk out and fire like a mad man at my set bunker only to plastered by everyone else on their team as my team stayed tight to there bunker.

In fairness it was a training day and we had never tried this b4:D

Thats why its called a learning curve

Be very vague when making up your set plays. Any play totally depends on whats going on in the game. My team uses plays with variables. For instance you make a call which would tell your team your gonna bunker the guy on your wire and they need to shoot to the mid and the opposite wire. That way your not dependent on your bunker when you make the call. I'll give you an example. We have a play that we yell hotdog (don't laugh its true). That means whomever yelled it is gonna do a suicide run to the mid and the right wire moves with that as a distraction. The wire guy can move anywhere he sees fit. If you try to make complex moves your just gonna end up screwing yourself in your own ass cause paintball is to varying to even try to predict it.

Dude

I'd say paintball can be quite easy to predict. 70% of the time you know where the other team are. If you've walked the field properly you'll know where the key bunkers are, and what damage they can cause.

By set plays I guess were talking about getting players in key positions:confused: If your back player is doing his job properly this is quite easy.
