I keep seeing the same question asked but.....

I haved decided that it is time to go and purchase my own little toy of pleasure...... a paintball gun.

I've been playing for some time now (since the days of 6 shooters off and on) and have decided to try and step up my game, go to walk ons maybe play some tourneys before I have to bring my zimmer frame along!

What am I willing to spend....... about £500 - £600 but could be persuaded to go higher ( have credit cards and not affraid to use them!)

So many options .... retailers have been suggesting a new Impulse but I was down at Foxwood Skirmish (Nofolk, UK) on Sunday and they said a second hand Angel would be good..

I don't know anything about add ons and stuff so be gentle

What do you think... what do I need to terrorise the neighbourhood?

What Marker Hmmmm??

Hiya Skiggles

What Marker?? Thats a hard one. Now me i would say go for a Cocker, but thats me. What i would do is firstly don't rush into it.

Angel's, Impulse's & Cockers, are all very good Markers. But it always very's from person to person & Marker to Marker depending on how the Marker is set up.

What i would do is try them out, not on the fireing range but have a game with one, Thats where your use it. A pick the Marker that you feel at ease with. But always before you buy find out where you can get it fixed. Can't really go to wrong with the Markers you have been looking at already.

Catch u in the middle

Would going to a walk on day like Foxwood this Sunday be a good idea to look over what is available... maybe have a try?
Are people reasonably happy for you to play with their pirde and joy (Marker) or do you have to catch people when they are trying to sell on?

an Impulse you say...hmmm

Henry.B

There is 2 of us (maybe 2 more) looking for our first markers as we are looking to form up as a team do some walk ons and get our arses kicked!!

We've got somebody coming down to Foxwood on Sunday with couple of markers for us to look ( and try I hope! )

Want to get a feel for a gun before I buy it as this is what I have been advised which sounds like a good idea when you think about it.

Am very interested, but will see what Sunday has to offer first.

I'm very new at this getting my own stuff.....

Does your Impulse come with everyting I need to take it straight out and play? or will I need hopper or gas bootle or something.

And because I'm not sure .... stock gun? not sure meaning
How old is it?
Please help as I'm not very up with what is what.....

Please feel free to ridicule 'cos I enjoy a good banter!

Is this a good set up?

i was in the same position as you 2 months ago. i kept changing my mind what to get.
Dont rush take your time. i took 3 months and have had my gun 2 months now and i made the right choice for me.
first you should ask your self how far do you want to take your ball playing. if your hooked big time and want to play rec and tourney, then buy a top end gun. wait and save if you need 2.
Dont make the mistake i nearly made. i was going to buy a mid-lower range gun and up grade in a yrs time{test the water so to speak}. i was only going to spend about £500-600. ive spent £900 and thats on air and a hopper. played in the middland masters last week and im glad i made the choice i did.if i had gone for my first choice it would have been 2 slow.

i went for a bob long intimidator with a centreflag air sys.
now......... what to go for is a personal choice many people say my gun is 2 front heavy but for me its fine.get your hands on some guns try them out if you can,its a personal choice when you get to looking at the top end guns.
