I've been playing paintball for about 2 years and I'm tired of my gun. I have a Sheridan XTS SE and I want a new gun b/c this one is pretty much not customizable, and out dated. I have a budget between 200-300 dollars. If someone could give me some advice I'd appreciate it.

If you like the upgrade path then go for a spyder. Good solid markers. A better option is the pirhanna pro g3. Will cost you about $200. Add a barrel and a hopper and you are ready to play. Another option is second hand. You could pick up an automag or a autococker for about $300 and will usually come with a few barrels and upgrades.

And you can always customize an automag, I have seen a few that looked real sweet. If you are not careful though (playing in the cold) they do freeze (correct me if i am wrong) and you may need a fridge expansion chamber on it,

The other option is (not sure bout US $) but an Impulse is a great marker

A model 98 custom is a great marker. There are so many upgrades available for the gun its not even funny. If you are planning on playing serious tournament action though you might want to look into a second hand cocker or automag. O yea, and if you are deciding on a spyder or a pirahna, go for the spyder I think they are better.

I have a quesiton for you anakin. What are your plans, and what do you typicaly play?

If your play in the woods and are strickly a rec player then a custom 98 or spyder would be just fine.

But if you play speed ball mainly and plan on playing in tournys you should probebly get somthing with a little more fire power. If this is the case I would recommend eather picking up a stock cocker because it is easaly upgradable in the future, or your should save up a little longer so you have more money to play with in your dicision.
