I know it exists! But where?

Hey folks, was wondering if one of you bright sparks could help me in locating a certain cocker bolt.

The bolt in question is a full delrin "twist and lock" affair specifically for dye reflex cockers....

Now, i have a Dye Reflex and after some rather exuberant pollishing of the bolt (smoothing off the rough spots it gets as a result of wear) it has become a particularly loose fit  .... causing MANY nasty bolt jams usually mid game... ...it must go!

With any other cocker i would have been able to get the latest bestest delrin bolt from bsales or planet.... but for those of you unnaquainted with Dye cockers, they use a "twist and Lock" bolt which has no need for a bolt pin....as a result my p-block has no pin hole!

I HAVE SEEN the bolt i am after, dye don't make it, it was by some custom company but i can't find them anywhere! I have googled determinedly for nights on end (well, minutes) and found nothing...

I HAVE HELD the damned thing in my hands as it's owner offered to sell me it, and i turned him down, prefering to spend the cash on my next box of paint! foolish!! didnt even dream of ever owning an eblade back then but ...um..i do now. :D ...had no idea how hard these things were to find too!

Anyway, enough story..... can ANYONE tell me where i might find the guys who make these? Thats a full delrin "twist and lock" pinless bolt for a Dye Reflex.

For the moment i am stuck with using a standard back block and a standard half delrin bolt.... looks kinda .....interesting.

Over to you!

i asked this same question, not on here but to nicky t at planet, basically from what he was saying there isnt a very big market for this kind of stuff. so know body is willing to make them as it is to expensive to set up the machines or summit.
I really wanted to upgrade my Dye Ultralight but i could never find a company who did them or who wld respond to me e-mails.

BOLTS BABY

if you want a bolt better than that (yep there be such a thing) you need to liase with either andy-carrot, or glen-carrot, or mainly stig from pheonix, it is a nylatron bolt, self lubricating, stronger and more hard wearing than delrin, also the chap that does these "bean flicker pro bolts" can custom mill/turn them to your specific weight dimension, and exhaust aperture size, i put one in my cocker and it realy does the trick, only thing i`d warn is if you are using the KAP rubber pin style anti double ball, it will shear it clean off ! seriously though these bolts ducking rule

simple solution

phone planet and talk to jack or nicky t and ask them if they can drill your back block for you....i cant see them charging more than a fiver to drill a hole!!!! and while you are at it buy a dart bolt!!!!!

jobs a good un and your cocker can now use any bolt

Yeah, Richie, i came across some nylatron bolts whilst looking for the delrin one..... must say it caught my eye... although i did have a nylac bolt for a spyder once and was abit unnimpressed coz it seemed they had been turned at a really high feed rate resulting in a REALLY rough surface, and the bore match was abit off too.... but that was a spyder.

Jahlad, thats the option i think i'm gonna have to take... I thought about drilling the hole myself (have a bench drill at home and have done several nelspot holes, nothing fancy) but thinking about it, it is one precise hole to be drilled! Has to be DEAD centre and at the right length... plus it is quite a large diameter. Talked to DB at Bsales about getting it done there but understandably it was not good for them seeing as the machines are booked solid and changing around the tooling and jigs for just the one small job involves far to much down-time and is basically not very efficient, which i fully appreciate!

Might give planet a bell and see what they say... wouldn't mind a short dart bolt it me reflex at all! :D

What gets me is i've had the solution to my problem in my hands! And i can't even find a mention of em anywhere now...

Cheer for the ideas guys! :)

I have a delrin bolt for my Dye Cocker but I have no idea who by. I will see if I can track down the guy I bought it off and ask him if he remembers who made it.
