I have just played a PGI 5 man event and was amazed at the stupidity of the marshals (not all of you) who seem to think that there eyes are except from being shot out by stray paintballs... There must be a new product that someone is selling that I have not seen that protects marshals from paintballs from other fields NEXT to them that have a game going on... Come on people we all know better than this... Its just plain stupid...

As marshals that have probably played, how often do you get shot up by the field next (its does not happen that often but its does happen)...

To coin a phrase that was shouted the entire Campaign Cup....

GOGGLES ON!!!!!

Got to agree here, once you are outside the safe zone goggles have got to be on.
I personaly mentioned it to the ultimate after about 3 games and it seemed that people were wearing their goggles a bit more.....but there were still marshals taking them off.
I know it was damp and all that, but if your lenses were steaming up get some new ones.
COME ON EVERYONE WE CAN'T AFFORD AN ACCIDENT IT WILL HAPPEN IF THIS CARRIES ON.

GET IT SORTED OUT......AND QUICKLY

I took a break fom paintball a few years back and when i returned i was shocked at how lax people were about wearing goggles.

The worst is at tournaments but another time that i was shocked by the safety was when i took some friends to a couple of sites... For the 'briefing' at the start of the day (at both sites) the marshal in charge had a loaded and gassed up marker in the safe zone without a barrel bung to explain how it worked. They both then proceeded to show how fast it could be fired at a target in the safe zone...

You could argue that they know what they are doing but what are your oppinions on this.

Agreed - mainly

The incidents mentioned above are inexcusable - if games are taking place on adjacent fields then goggles must stay on.

However - this is not really the place to solve this - raise it with the organiser again - I know they have safety as thier prime concern - and issues were addressed.

I thought the day went went very well and with much good humour. I'm sure that this problem will not be repeated - just make your appeals to those that can make a difference.

Mark, slightly off topic, but I'm assuming you guys will be in Holland for the Dutch leg of the millennium series (Assumption is the mother of all f*ck-ups.....yeah yeah, blahdeeblah....I know :D ), so you guys are going to have to get me one of them bonusball cocktails, cause it's made me very curious......I'll have some of the sourballs for you to trade......:D

Hmmmmm, I've heard stories about Billy..........:D (assuming (oh no, there he goes again!) it's the same Billy that played when Jay Clayson still played for the Rushers).

Can't wait! Always fun to engage in some ridiculous consuming of alcohol!!!

Oh, and to steer this thread back to it's original topic: Keep yer gogz on, darnit!!!!!
