We seem to pay a premium in the UK.

I've been pricing starter markers for a mate and it seems that what we pay in £ for a marker is what they pay in the U.S. in $. A marker costing £200 here is $200 - the exchange rate would roughly make that £150.

OK, I know there's VAT/import to go on top of that if I bought it individually, but surely the big UK suppliers importing tons of kit spread the cost of shipping etc.

I assume it's the same for accessories. :(

Get used to it...

It's not just paintball. EVERYTHING is more expensive in the UK by a fat margain, and as you say the purchasing parity rate is £1:$1, despite the official rate of 1.46. It really narks me, especially since US earnings are higher too.

The same goes for pretty much ever other country too. Even Sweden is cheaper than the UK (apart from booze, that is).

Don't panic RoOsTer, Millennium events are never site paint only. Top teams just wouldn't play if they had to pay for & use paint supplied by their sponsor's rivals.

But yes, probably the biggest rip off I've seen is site paint at some tourneys over the years
