Can I just introduce the word 'cheap' inot the equation, as in 'If anyone (Ant) can recommend somewhere with cheap tasty food and beery drinks, we'd be forever grateful.

House of Spandex - Just listen out for the dulcet tones of Warrant, then follow the smell of hairspray and you'll find it OK

Narcissus Palace - 4th and Melrose, ask for Al...it's a really great place, super friendly people, always buying you drinks and trying to dance with you and inviting you back to their place when it kicks out. All guys though, not many chicks about..go figure.

I may be gaining the wrong idea but whilst you inserted "cheap" you didn't edit out "beery drinks"... you're not letting people put refreshing alcaholic beveridges onto their expense accounts are you?
