i looked at an online store for scenario paintball called www.rustyspaintballgear.com and i clicked on the artillery section. They had Howitzer cannons that would shoot paintballs and I was wandering if anyone here had experience with such a thing. And if you do could you tell me how you they shoot, what their ammunition is, how you work the controls etc.?

I have seen a home-made version of the howitzer and a couple of scenerio games I've been to before. They were never actually used because they were deemed "Un-Safe". They are great to look at, but if you want something like this I would make a normal LAW rocket (to shoot either: Paint balloons, 10-15 Paintballs or a nurf rocket).

You can mount the LAW to wheels, but that would be more for show than functionallity. I play a lot of scenario games and every one has multiple people carrying their LAW rockets to take out buildings/tanks. I have yet to see one like that used during the game. They are either carried by hand or mounted onto a tank.

Personally, I'm glad to not see something like that used. I wouldn't want a 52-62 mil balloon of paint to land on me. Even if it is "indirect fire" it has to land somewhere. Not only that, but how many fields are large enough to handle using such a weapon? Stick to the paint grenades and land mines :)

I would recommend that you look on the web at several different paintball suppliers. You need to learn how to search the web on your own eventually.

The 1st site I would try would be to follow the link above and LOOK AT WHAT THEY HAVE BEFORE ASKING.
