To full strip a mech/electrococker follow my easy steps.
I make cockers FUN!!
1) Remove cocking rod, bolt and back block.
2) Remove IVG (wee nut that adjusts ur velocity) and your main spring.
3) Remove grip frame taking care not to bed timing rod/break wires etc.
4) Remove locking nut (wee nut on the underside of the body holding in your valve).
5) Using an allan key remove your hammer buy inserting an allan key into the top of ur body while the hammer is at rest on the valve pin and turning anticlockwise untill the hammer will slide out the back of the cocker.
6) Using a valve tool or a large allan key push in the valve pin by inserting the tool into the rear of the cocker (where the hammer etc went). Then slowly turn anticlockwise while applying pressure to compress the valve pin, making sure you catch the nut.
Notes :
you will have to play about with this bit, the trick is to make sure you have the right size allan key and that you are applying enough pressure to compress the valve spring.
Also use the hole your sear comes through to look and see if it is actually catching.
Take your time you will get it.
7) After the locking nut is removed your valve and valve spring should come out.
8) Go to your front block and using an allen key removed the front block by taking out the big bolt in the middle of front block. Keep your front block together unless u gotta change summit.
Simple as that, any questions just ask.
