How to start a tournament team

Hi Ive been paintballing for about 4 and 1/2 yrs now, and 4 of my friends and i have played together sorta as a team for about 3 yrs. I was wonderin if anyone could give me help on gettin into tournaments, sponsors, and organizing a competetion team

Pretty easy really

I think Epoch's route to tourney ball was....

1. Get very (very) drunk
2. Find a name
3. Find a squad
4. find an event
5. Book said event
5a. Get drunk (again)
6 Play ball (Badly)

Once you have got the first comp under your belt, you can drop points 2 and 3 out of the mix, and repeat 5a/6 until you get a decent balance.

Some people dont belive in points 1/5a, but trust me, it makes the whole experience much more enjoyable.

It easy... You go to the newbie’s section open the Guildford flyers thread and take down tom tom’s details. You give him a call and turn up to the training and just like magic you four WILL be part of Guildford flyers

3a; Get a great phone deal (you'll need it if you're trying to organise a PB team) about a Million minutes a month should cover it!

Note
Les is
1. The scruffy one with no money
2. The one noone talks to during game days
3. At the end of the day can be seen thumbing a lift at the side of the M6
4. Sleeps in the outhouse at the bottom of the garden

Get booked in for a Koth event that torny is for new teams so you wont be out of your depth , the get a balance of your team , its so easy from there Good luck .

as for paint theres loads ot paint supplier drop em a email peser the living day lights out of em you may even get a free case per torny,
Most teams play team paint that means your full paint bill gets divided int the 5/7 men playing , so you all have the same bill .

The only reason mine is high is that I occasionally ring Dave Luff, mental note... let him ring me

Dark warrior will concour

When running a team, if you are five man... get 8 players, if you are 7 man... get 10-14 players. Last year at it's worst for one tourney from a squad of 9, all 8 were unavailable but then they all wanted to play the next month.

Sponsorship, no such thing... just ring around the big boys to see what deals are available on paint and maybe kit... such as from Atmosphere on 01652 656899

Either that or join an established team such as us or the "Gildford flyers"
