I have a number of bunkers with small holes in (and no repair kit). Assuming I canabalise one bunker to make some patches, what glue is best to stick the patches on with ?

Anybody had experience of repairing bunkers ? Any useful tips ?

Thanks in advance ...

Why would you want to canibalise a bunker to repair the rest. The material that they're made of is also used in advertising for banners - Find someone to cut out patches for you and they'll also be able to tell you how to glue it together.

Simon, there is a glue you can purchase called 'shoeglue' my brother has some at the moment for his shoe soles, it seems pretty good, i dont know its strength but it seems that it applies like a paste and it sets like a grippy plastic. I think it could be applicable to this scenario but i dont know for 100%

Somebody suggested using glue that is available for repairing RIBs (the boat that is). Looks like I can get a big tub of that for £10, so will give it a go. A RIB must be filled to a higher pressure than a supair bunker, so I reckon that could work well.

Fisz - I have a couple of bunkers that are more hole than not, so may as well make patches out of what is left. When held up they resemble a spiders web - quite funny really. There must be some very bloated mice out there.

The only question is if that glue will react with vinyl or not.
