Hi, Im a 17 year old 6th Form student (Last Year) and ive just put in my UCAS application for university! I have put on all my applications deferred entry so i will take a year out! Anyway back to the point... ive applied to read engineering and for my gap year i was hoping to do a Year in Industry Scheme but before putting in my application for that, i thought i would ask here to see if anyone knew any contacts in the UK paintball Industry for Marker or Air System Design and maybe try and get a gap year placement with them? So any one know who i should write to about it?

Thanks

hi, im also hoping to do a year in industry, and you just gave me a great idea, i can see if they can get me in at wdp down the road. but anyway, back to u, thats a great idea, u should look in yellow pages, theres gotta be places near u that would consider it. i have decided to apply for ucas next year, as i will know my results, and im hoping for a year in industry, mainly coz u can get paid about 9/10 grand a year :D:D but also coz i want to do engineering, and this along wiv some engineering scheme i did i should be able to get in easier. good luck in finding a place. and thanx for the idea, worth a try.

You could try smart parts, or Rekka (although they do more barrel designing i think hence the name 'Rekka Barrels')

Good Luck

Im currently on a YINI placement, unfortunately not with a paintball company. However "Billy No Mates" works at a paintball site in maidenhead, diablo none the less, and hes doing a YINI placement!! (lucky B*d) i dont reckon there are any paintball companies on the YINI scheme, but its worch asking the companies your self to see if they'll give you a placement in or out of YINI. Good Luck.

btw the pershore buisness course is as boring as hell avoid it if you have to do YINI.;)
