OK well i was asked "what bore size is your barrel" today, and couldn't answer.

I'm aware what is meant by bore size, however i don't what my barrel is. i don't know what brand or model my barrel is and as such cant find out that way, is there any other method for telling?

thanks
Nick

best way is to ask tom allen what bore your standard barrel is. he should have the answer.

if your barrel is to small and the paint big. the paint will break in the barrel

If the barrel is made by any of the standard manufacturers then a quick look on the part that threads into the marker should help. The size is usually stamped on the outside, unless it is a .689 which is the standard bore for most companies. In this case there wont be a mark.

Hope that helps.

thanks a lot you three

Hermitt having checked the barrel there seems to be no markings, as such I'm going to assume that its 0.689.

thanks for the help, any more advice is still welcome :)

take the barrel to an engineer and ask him to measure it, and yes most unmarked barrels are .688/.689
