how to fill c02 bottles?

bit of a dumb question. been a while since ive done one and playing this weekend. just thought id better make sure about the way to do it.

screw bottle into boc co2 bottle.
turn on on/off valve on co2 bottle and the dump valvle on boc co2 bottle.
chill the co2 bottle.
turn off dump valve and open boc co2 bottle valve.
the co2 bottle is now filling(how do you know when its full without using scales??)

turn off boc bottle and co2 bottle. open dump valve.

ALL DONE???

just woundering if thats right, just to save injury, blown disk etc.

but how do you know when bottle is full without using scales?
put it close to ear and listen for a whooosh sound??

your waiting for the whooshing sound to slow down and subside...pretty dangerous way to do if your not paying attention

yup itll go quiet after a while which means that the pressures are balanced. then just stop filling, turn off the bottle, dump and unscrew.

Don't be thick, buy a set of scales.

You'll only end up with either overfilled or underfilled bottles.

Its also a good idea to chill your bottles before you fill them...either, put a squirt in teh bottle, then dump it, while holding the bottle valve under the gas as it dumps (normal way) or bung em in the freezer over night!
