I didn't know where to post this question. Maybe a kind mod could advise.

How does one fasten the inflatables to a concrete, indoor floor?
And it has to be safe, of course. We've thought of sand-bags or some other kinds of weights.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Steve,
If y'all gonna play on concrete I ain't sure "safe" is a consideration but the answer depends on how flexible you want your field layout(s) to be and if you can or want to drill holes in the concrete.
1--large velcro patches
2--drill about a 2 inch deep cylindrical hole in concrete and counter-sink eye screws below "ground" level then use clips to hold bunkers in place.

I think both are interesting ideas. I'm trying to help my friends get their indoor place going because I'm getting serious withdrawal symptoms.

Concerning safety, just the thought of playing on concrete gives me the creeps. I crushed my kneecap during an indoor tournament about five years ago. Wrong shoes and no knee-pads. By far the worst pain I've ever experienced.

They're talking about saw-dust or sand on the floor. Maybe popcorn or peanut shells would be the ticket.

gracias,

Steve

As they were using mostly astroturf fields at Campaign, they couldn't use pegs to fix the bunkers there. I'm pretty sure they weighed them down with sand in the bottoms or it may have been water.
Anyway, Niall will know so I suggest you ask him.

The astroturf fields at Campaign were a mixture of sandbags and water, depending on the type of bunkers used on the different fields.

The only problem with the water weighed down ones, was if you hit the bunker on your slide in, it was like playing 'ball with a weeble as your bunker! :D

weebles were toys, they were little egg like things with hemispherical weighted bottoms so if you flicked them they would wobble, they had a whole circus to play in & everything! :)

I think i had some as a very young kid

Yeah, imagine a bottom-heavy egg that likes to stand upright... no matter how you flicked it, it would wobble until it stood upright again... never falling down... they had a song and everything! :D

would have thought that you will need at least some sand down on the floor to help out with slipping over an also your slides into bunkers an try out the sand bagging idea as well;)
