I'm just looking for a rutine to get started. From filling up your tank to shooting your first paintball. I have a Spyder Xtra. The rutine is to include every step like attaching tank, cocking marker, turning safty on and off, etc. Please be very detailed. Thanks alot.

Do you mean like...

... a kinda pre-takeoff checklist... ie.
1) Put marker together (ie. screw on barrel)
2) Make sure Bottle (Tank) has some gas/air
3) Fill said Bottle (assuming that it is empty)
4) Put Barrel Bung/condom on
5) Attach now full Bottle to marker
6) Attach Hopper (you may fill it before or after attaching it to the gun) (While you are at it fill your pods!)
7) Get to playing area (Mask somewhere around here)
8) Remove Barrel Bung/Condom
9) Turn on Gas/Air
10) Cock marker
11) Turn off safety
12) Assume starting position
13) Prick your ears up
14) Hear "GO!!!" Normally shouted very loudly
15) Run like **** off a shovel to your primary, at this point you may elect to stop and fire off a few well placed shots or if your primary is on the 50 just run!
Now I bet that was nothing to do with what you were on about but what the hell, it filled a space in my evening!

Exactly! Thanks A checklist to run over in my head. Oh and the Marker came w/ a pretty crappy manual. That covers it though. Thanks again Smally. As for the rest of you... why reply if you arent going to answer the question.

Meowww!

Don't upset them, they just didn't get the question too well, it wasn't totally clear but what the hell you got it answered in the end! LOL
I've got an Xtra too, had any problems with it? Mines been fine, even if I can't get the velocity above 240... But then who needs it to go any faster when I'm only 5 ft away from the poor sod I'm bunkering! :D :D
Glad I could be of assistance... there maybe some things missing that people can think of?!

Hey, Smally, you missed out "Turn on revvy"... LOL :D

C'mon.... HOW MANY TIMES have we done that?!

And the velocity thing - I fixed mine finally! The trick is to get a new hammer spring... and remember to dial it all the way out whilst the marker is being stored! I was shooting at a consistent 280fps last academy!!! (well, give or take 20... CO2 :()

What are you using CO2 or Nitro? Mine seems to fluctuate. First time i clocked was just above 300. Then i got it down to 250-275. But it is never steady. It's really good, though i only have rentals to compare to. Only broke a like 2 balls in about 6 full days. I have no upgrades on it. I dont know too much about upgrading, and dont wana spend too much. But I am saving up for a remote and Nitro tank.

Ah Ha!

Good point! Assuming he has a Revvy! (I left that out on purpose honest! :D ) And yes I have done it SOOOOOO many times!
So what you are saying is that I've got to spend MORE money on paintballing if I want my gun to shoot balls a bit faster... Oh well what a surprise, next on my list, hammer spring! (Then Air! LOL) I don't think most people mind how fast my balls are flying tho, when I'm that close its gonna hurt! :D :D

To be honest, the hammer spring only needs replacing if it's worn out - having realised that dialling the spring back out between playing makes such a big difference, I'm perfectly happy to use my stock spring... only putting the harder ones in when it's REALLY cold... :D

Anyway... you're right... the money should be spent on something shiny and be the last thing the poor sod sees before getting a bunkering... :D:D:D
