I was just wandering about how often people clean there kit, your habits of doing the chores.
i'll start,
I Fully strip,clean&re-oil/grease(guns) my;Mask,Hopper,Cocker,Imp,Rt,Warpfeed,Barrels(incuding porting&threads),pots,Pull throughs,Clothes etc on the same day.
In another words i clean every thing before i go to bed after the tourny, walk on,training day,HONEST!

I check to see if the guns&hoppers work at least 3 days before play time begins.

So wot about every one else? Are there people here that are a bit lazy with the chores of cleaning there kit?
:)

The only thing I can guarantee I would clean on the day of using them would be goggles as paint eats away at the lens if left on them. The rest of the kit gets cleaned on the same day of use, time permitting or at the very latest 2 weeks later LOL.
But its always cleaned/checked before using at the next tourny, never do I just turn up hoping it will work.

I really just clean the goggles off right away, then I do the rest whenever I feel like it before I play again.

I dont really need to clean my cocker that much, I don't really break paint. I just drop a few drops in the asa, take off the bolt an barrel, then fire like 30 shots.

I also clean everything on the day it was used including clothing etc! Even take lens out of gogs, wash & replace. After playing I always perform a complete strip down & lubrication...and I clean & oil my marker too!!! :D

Ditto - I like having my kit feel brand, spanking new whenever I go out to play!!

Unfortunately....when I first started I was slightly too keen - I took apart my spyder when I first got it to clean it etc. after a couple of days of using it - replaced one or two o-rings and it seems that you've got one o-ring on spyders called 'striker' o-rings, sooo it ain't worked properly since cos I never got any striker o-rings!! DOH!

Tip: Always remember which parts you take apart first and lay them on a white cloth/table top so their easy to find! Be extra careful when taking apart bits with springs!
Note: If taking apart a bit with springs and a load of parts fly out of your gun and all over the room - you're screwed!
Therefore, always take apart you gun in a completely empty well lit room, with only a single table chair and bright flourescent bulb. Then you can see anything on the floor!!
