Hey my team is thinking about entering some local tourneys and we were wondering about how much paint we should expect to buy as a team. The tourney will be a rookie 3 man with I believe 6 prelim games and then the semis and finals. The games are 3 minute center flag games. Please we need all the info we can get!

Searching for the pro-tour....:S
Paint

I've never played 3 man, but the amount of paint you'll shoot will depend on your strategy and the fields.

I'm guessing that with small fields and short games your unlikely to use more than a case each. Last time I played a small format was 4 man indoor sup-air. Seriously fast but even at the back I didn't do more than a pot + hopper per game, most games were over within the first hooper load.

Hope this helps and good luck!!! :)

Paint?

yeah i agree

At the 5man indoor in birmingham i only used max 2pots and a hopper per game, but averaged a hopper and a half.

the price of paint nowdays if you buy in bulk (£30/box ish), you may as well have too much, and keep it correctly before and after and it will last until your next tourney

Doubt it for 3 man. When I say a case each, I mean as pooling the paint with each other. So, you all pay an equal amount at the end of the day for paint no matter what you shoot individually. This is the best method to use in a team environment.

In 3-man, all your players will shoot a similar amount of paint anyway - probably averaging about 300 rounds per game (1,800 balls over the 6 prelim rounds).
