How many times can a marker be anno'd?

Thinking about getting a marker to reanno and got my eye on one but its already been done once. Is there a recommended limit?

I had one that had been annoed twice from its original (Blue-Black-Green) and seemed ok to me.

the rapper went from black to gold/red to purple with no problems
