bit of a question, how many angel owners out there actually tried the barel it came with before consigning it to the bottom of your kitbag?

now i'm a bit of a freak freak, but when i bought a secod hand ir3 it came with the infinity , a freak back and a boomstick

so i tried them all out between games, unfortunately using right manky old paint

and although it seemed thwe spread on the infinity was slightly wider, i was able to put reasonably accurate fire down just that bit further away

the moral of this story? someone spent time and effort making that barrel, (and jacko's a nice guy) so why not try it?

(shoots through breaks nice too)

On my speed I have tried a Stiffi out on several occasionsbut do not find it any better than the standard infinity, Stiffi usually ends up back in the bag? strange that after all the hype that the stiffi is recieving.
Come on guys lets hear some views!!!!

Had a 12" infinity on my Rock IR3. Bought a 14" ultralite (same bore size). Infinity shot way more acurate which kind of eliminates the whole length debate :)

ive used a speed for a few games with the standard barrel on it and i was plesently supprised at how good it was, definatly the best stock barrel ive seen.

however on my cocker, cant fault the st!ffi barrels ive got, damn accurate and very quiet

The Infinity is in effect an aftersales barrel, and just like any other barrel - Freak, Boomstick, whatever - will work perfectly fine provided it matches the paint being used.

There are few - if any - barrels available that will not shoot accurately and consistently if the paint/barrel match is correct. Barrel length is generally worthless beyond the first 6 inches or so, all you do with a longer barrel is achieve a quieter shot and have the ability to work a SupAir barricade.

Fortunately for the aftersales barrel manufacturers, the average paintballer is a complete tart and the first thing we tend to 'upgrade', whether it is needed or not, is the barrel. We then justify our spending by deluding ourselves that barrel X is better than barrel Y.

To be honest the best barrel I've ever shot was a solid stainless boomstick, trouble is you have to follow a strick weight lifting regime and they only came in a smallish bore size. I shoot a pipe now and would recommend any1 to buy 1 of these bits of kit seriously good without the serious price tag
