How long does it take to make a plane?

Yea doe's seem pretty quick.

also looks pretty easy which is confusing when you think how high they can fly and fast and considering planes can hold up to 200+ people pretty scary when you think how long it take's,

the scary part is that the paint job took longer than constructing the plane. and i doubt americans can work that fast

Interesting stat I heard yesterday:

Boeing currently have 20 787's under construction and are finishing them at a rate of one every 2-3 weeks.

That means in reality it takes 10-12 months to assemble one plane and thats not even counting the work done by their suppliers (avionics, engines etc)

So its actually a really long time!
