Ok guys. Im sitting here thinking of different ways to effectively train. Effectively meaning you can garauntee you will improve.

What I would like to see on here is How YOU train to improve your game. As a team, or personally. This thread is being made to help not only me, and my team, but to help others also out there who maybe training wrongly.

So please leave your training regime, and lets get working together to improve and show those yanks we arent all pushovers.

*mods can you please make this a sticky, as i feel it will help with not only us, but the newer guys just getting into the sport. Cheers*

Darren :)

hi dude, howz the reg goin?

Picked up some wicked tips from the Nexus boys at Ambush paintballs last trainin event- if you can make it Nexus will be holding an official training seminar at the site on the weekend of the 29th and 30th. Thread relating to it is a sticky in announcements contacts and queries. I'm gonna be taking my photographic memory with me, and my note taking chimp.

Site is about 5 mins from my house

Hi dude. Yea regs sweet. Wont be able to make the nexus seminar. Money reasons. When you pay for your brother too it worked out something like 260 quid for the weekend, which i just cant afford :(
Robbo and Nexus should just make a training dvd. Sell it for 30 quid. They would make more money then, and more people could learn from it. So us kidz with no money, or transport can learn from our very homes.
Still your lucky dude to live 5minutes away, i live 2hrs and 40minutes away :(

Cheers mate. Though thats a great help its not what im looking for. Infact im not really asking 'What do i do to train?' im asking 'What you guys do to train?'.
Anyone can pick up a marker and play games and call it training, but there is a wrong and right way to train.
Im just curious to see how others train to get better eg. Nexus, Tigers, Shockwave, Dynasty so on and so fourth :D

Individually, I recommend martial arts as a means of physical conditioning. I am fortunate enough to study Pai Lum Kung Fu. This has improved my flexibility, reaction speed, stamina, and mental focus. I also run a couple miles and lift weights twice each weekly.

In training, we ideally spend about 50% of our time on drills, assuming we can get possession of a field long enough to do so. We also film practice and do critiques of different players' performance after the practice.

We talk a lot of smalk, also, to keep that aggressive macho pride thing in full swing. GRRRR!
